It's hard, this having ties to both coasts. Had a sweet time with my southern folks...
Grandma's chocolate cake,
Cheap gas,
Richard's venison/caribou jerky,
L.W.'s merciless teasing,
Beck's arms and love,
C.J.'s basketball game,
Trish's joy in watching her son play,
Mom tying it all together...
It's hard to leave, but I do so with the joy that comes with having spent wonderful time in conversation and togetherness. You gotta seize the moment whether it means staying up til three in the morning to have the first real conversation you've ever had with your cousin, or bouncing out to the parking lot for a smoke with your brother in law. I am learning not to waste time on worrying about lost sleep, or being too cold. I am blessed with family that loves each other and loves ME. Way more than I deserve...Thank you, Father.
